If you are only delivering what is expected of you at work, I have bad news for you. I know. I should be the bearer of good news. After all, I’m the motivational speaker.

Well, in my opinion I think this is great news.

Listen, delivering what is expected of you is a sure bet that you will struggle all your life to just get by. Take a look at all the people who are enjoying the riches of life.

Do you think they got there by doing what is expected of them? The answer is a big no.

You see, if you’re not getting the promotion you think you deserve, or your bank account is static, you are simple doing what is expected of you.

Oh, sure there are some people who demand too much from us. But my point is still the same. Figure out a way to exceed their expectations, and you are in. (more…)
